My speech at eDay ‘09

Recently I had a speech at the evidence day an annually one-day conference from the company I work with. The conference was targeting to present our newest products including the evidence nova release 1.0 to our customers.
evidence nova is a full frame Silverlight application running as richt internet application (RIA) in the browser. In my speech I gave a view behind the scene how we built the product with Microsoft Silverlight.

Below I published some of the stuff I used for my presentation:

I created an interactive presentation to introduce what Microsoft Silverlight is and how evidence nova is based on. I made a video from the presentation including some captions (in german only).

In the next video you can find the sketched evidence nova client. It’s a video from a real sketch flow application built in Expression Blend. With this sketch flow I mainly introduced the navigation- and content-concepts of evidence nova to the audience.

During my presentation I demonstrated the good performance of the Silverlight plug-in. I did it with the Deep Zoom Gallery produced by Ronnie Saurenmann from Microsoft Switzerland.

See the online demo here: http://rubrik.ch.msn.com/reportagen/zermatt.aspx

I used a slightly modified version of this as you can see in this screen recording

My new blog style

I decided to apply a new template to my blog. And after some hours plumbing im the stylesheet, here is the result. It shows clearly to me that styling in XAML with Expression Blend is much easier than editing a CSS file.
